Statement of Faith

We believe in the Bible as the inerrant, verbally inspired Word of God. We believe that it affords the basis for our doctrine, practices, and habits; both of public and private life, and that it is of supreme and final authority. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:19-21

We believe in the unity of God and the trinity of the Godhead; one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:16, 3:22; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 2:7; Isaiah 44:6; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16; Colossians 1:15

We believe in the deity, virgin birth, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and premillenial return of Christ; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the sole ground of His shed blood, and receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18; John 1:12, 3:16; Romans 3:25, 26, 5:1, 6:23; I Corinthians 15:3, 4, 20; II Thessalonians 2:7; Revelation 19:1-5

We believe in the perfect creation of Adam, that he sinned, fell and became totally depraved and that consequently all human beings are born with a sinful nature. This involves not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23; I Corinthians 15:22

We believe in the personality and work of the Holy Spirit, through Whom men are regenerated and led to repentance and faith; that He convicts, indwells, comforts, and gives utterance to the believer. John 3:3, 16:7, 8; Romans 8:9, 26

We believe in the need for believers, and especially members of the local assembly, to live in full separation from worldliness and ecclesiastical apostasy. We believe that the church should remain severed from all organic ecclesiastical connections. II Corinthians 6:14-18; I John 2:15-17

We believe in the eternal security of the believer and in his bodily resurrection and translation at Christ’s return in the clouds. John 5:28, 29, 10:28; I Thessalonians 4:13-18

We believe in the bodily resurrection and judgment of all unbelievers after the millennial reign of Christ. Revelation 20:11-15

We believe in the eternal life and blessedness of the righteous and eternal existence and punishment of the wicked. John 3:16, 36, 5:24, 29
